The colors of the Ugandan flag are the colors of the crested crane, the national bird, which is featured in the middle of the flag. 

 

The crane represents Uganda's beauty. The color black represents the people, the color yellow represents warmth and the sun, and the color red represents the blood of brotherhood.

The region in which Uganda is located is the eatern region.
